The Second Coming

See also the Rapture page

The Main Event – the Endtimes Story from the beginning (The First Prophecy) has led up to the culmination of the Second Coming of Jesus Christ. Revelation 19 describes the scene in Heaven leading up to his coming.

The Heavenly Scene

There is celebration and rejoicing in Heaven as various groups of believers have just seen the eternal destruction of the AntiChrist, the False Prophet, and the False Religious System that martyred believers. They know the end is near.

The Nature of the Second Coming

There are many prophetic passages in the OT that refer to the Second Coming. (Ez 37, Psalms 2, Ps 96, Ps 110, Isaiah 9, Jeremiah 23, Daniel 2, Daniel 7, Micah 4, Zechariah 2, Matt 19:28 )

The Second Coming is the beginning of the culmination of the story we’ve been looking at in Endtimes.org and as such it is not a simple event on a calendar. Many of the passages will include:

  1. Battle / Judgement – The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed” (Psalm 24, Psalm 96)
  2. Millennial Reign
  3. Rejoicing / Celebration

Ezekiel 37:21-25 – And say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will take the children of Israel from among the heathen, whither they be gone, and will gather them on every side, and bring them into their own land:

22And I will make them one nation in the land upon the mountains of Israel; and one king shall be king to them all: and they shall be no more two nations, neither shall they be divided into two kingdoms any more at all:

23Neither shall they defile themselves any more with their idols, nor with their detestable things, nor with any of their transgressions: but I will save them out of all their dwellingplaces, wherein they have sinned, and will cleanse them: so shall they be my people, and I will be their God.

24And David my servant shall be king over them; and they all shall have one shepherd: they shall also walk in my judgments, and observe my statutes, and do them.

25And they shall dwell in the land that I have given unto Jacob my servant, wherein your fathers have dwelt; and they shall dwell therein, even they, and their children, and their children’s children for ever: and my servant David shall be their prince for ever.
